Summary

A manga series that packs quite the punch!

Nothing about Saitama passes the eyeball test when it comes to superheroes, from his lifeless expression to his bald head to his unimpressive physique。 However, this average-looking guy has a not-so-average problem - he just can't seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! He's easily taken out a number of monsters, including a crabby creature, a malicious mosquito girl and a muscly meathead。 But his humdrum life takes a drastic turn when he meets Genos - a cyborg who wants to uncover the secret behind his strength!

The manga is very good and funny, it just gets kind of monotone because you always know he will win in a match。 It would be better if we don't know the result of the fights。 The manga is very good and funny, it just gets kind of monotone because you always know he will win in a match。 It would be better if we don't know the result of the fights。 。。。more

This was good, but the newness of this work is fading away, and I might read more of these, but I'm also cool。 I can't believe that this concept continues on for like twenty more volumes。 It's crazy。 This was good, but the newness of this work is fading away, and I might read more of these, but I'm also cool。 I can't believe that this concept continues on for like twenty more volumes。 It's crazy。 。。。more

Kind of the same comment I had for the first volume。 Great action, cool cast of characters but I'm still unsure about the humor, sometimes it makes me laugh, but other times I find it a bit childish。 I'm still curious and interested, just not totally into it yet。 But I do have fun reading it! Read Vol。 2 and Vol。 1 back to back。 Love this series。 I especially love the running joke about how Saitama (protagonist) doesn't understand that his routine to become the strongest man on the planet (e。g。, defeats anyone in one punch) shouldn't have resulted in his god like abilities。 I do appreciate that the bonus episodes。 I like our peek into Saitama's past life, pre-super human。 Read Vol。 2 and Vol。 1 back to back。 Love this series。 I especially love the running joke about how Saitama (protagonist) doesn't understand that his routine to become the strongest man on the planet (e。g。, defeats anyone in one punch) shouldn't have resulted in his god like abilities。 I do appreciate that the bonus episodes。 I like our peek into Saitama's past life, pre-super human。 。。。more

Still a really fun series。 I enjoyed the first season of the anime a lot, and by Book 2 it still only covers the first 3 or 4 episodes。 I'm interested in reading beyond the second season。 Saitama and Genos battle the House of Evolution where Saitama reveals the origin of his super powers。 We get introduced to Speed of Sound Sonic, who's becomes a recurring nemesis of Saitama。 Still a really fun series。 I enjoyed the first season of the anime a lot, and by Book 2 it still only covers the first 3 or 4 episodes。 I'm interested in reading beyond the second season。 Saitama and Genos battle the House of Evolution where Saitama reveals the origin of his super powers。 We get introduced to Speed of Sound Sonic, who's becomes a recurring nemesis of Saitama。 。。。more

Continues to be fun!I’ve seen the show and just wanted to read the comics, they’re just as fun and have a few extra stories/backstory things that I didn’t know about or catch in the show。

4 stars。 These are so fun and quick to read。 Also, unironically, "Human strength lies in the ability to change yourself" is a really fucking good quote。 4 stars。 These are so fun and quick to read。 Also, unironically, "Human strength lies in the ability to change yourself" is a really fucking good quote。 。。。more

After the first kick-ass volume of this series, I had high expectations for the second。 Thankfully, it does not disappoint。 The second volume contains great battles, some imaginative paneling, and great humor。 While I love the humor and the battles, the pacing is weaker than the first volume。 Hammerhead and the House of Evolution chapters are not especially interesting, but Speed o Sound Sonic's introduction in the Hammerhead chapters definitely saved that short segment。 I was hard on the manga After the first kick-ass volume of this series, I had high expectations for the second。 Thankfully, it does not disappoint。 The second volume contains great battles, some imaginative paneling, and great humor。 While I love the humor and the battles, the pacing is weaker than the first volume。 Hammerhead and the House of Evolution chapters are not especially interesting, but Speed o Sound Sonic's introduction in the Hammerhead chapters definitely saved that short segment。 I was hard on the manga artist for his relatively uninteresting style in the last volume。 Upon reflection, however, I am incredibly impressed by his amazing skill with motion and fight scenes。 I am exited to see what he does in the next volume! 。。。more

Ahh。。I'm slowly, but surely still making my way through some great manga! I love Saitama a d his nonchalance for life。 All he wants is for someone to put up a challenge。 Is that so hard? Now, in the second book, he realizes that he has to register to become a "recognizable" hero。 He'll get through it with Genes at his side。 Ahh。。I'm slowly, but surely still making my way through some great manga! One of the best superhero story's I've read in along time。 After reading the first book and loving it, I decided to check out the second one。 And not only was it great it was a lot better than what the first book did, the story was more interesting, the characters where given more depth with who they where, and the comedy was vary on point。 If your looking for Acton, comedy, and a unbelievably creative story then I strongly suggest giving this one a look。 This is overall one of the best superher One of the best superhero story's I've read in along time。 After reading the first book and loving it, I decided to check out the second one。 And not only was it great it was a lot better than what the first book did, the story was more interesting, the characters where given more depth with who they where, and the comedy was vary on point。 If your looking for Acton, comedy, and a unbelievably creative story then I strongly suggest giving this one a look。 This is overall one of the best superhero stories I have seen in a long time。 。。。more

Saitama is drawn as a boring hero, with his bland facial expressions, his bald head, and mediocre body build。 The other characters (both good and bad) seem so alive in comparison。Once you start reading, you start to appreciate the quality of the art work and the writing。 There's plenty of action and the sound effects are appropriate。 What distinguished One-Punch Man from other manga was the occasional zinger line of dialogue, that was an interesting viewpoint on life philosophies。 This makes you Saitama is drawn as a boring hero, with his bland facial expressions, his bald head, and mediocre body build。 The other characters (both good and bad) seem so alive in comparison。Once you start reading, you start to appreciate the quality of the art work and the writing。 There's plenty of action and the sound effects are appropriate。 What distinguished One-Punch Man from other manga was the occasional zinger line of dialogue, that was an interesting viewpoint on life philosophies。 This makes you appreciate the intelligence and humor of the author。A more complex story line that crosses over several volumes, would bring this manga to the next level。 。。。more
